Kate is a professional life coach with a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology and Education, and the founder of two heart-centered initiatives: Emotionland (emotionland.ca) and Mamingo (mamingo.ca).
Her work sits at the intersection of emotional regulation, soft skills development, and family well-being. Kate supports children in building emotional intelligence, resilience, and self-awareness, while also advocating deeply for mothers’ mental health, burnout prevention, and conscious navigation of the emotional landscape of motherhood.
Through Emotionland, Kate designs and facilitates experiential programs for children, families, and educators that translate complex emotional concepts into playful, accessible, and practical tools. Her approach helps kids learn how to recognize, express, and regulate emotions in an increasingly overstimulated world—without pressure to be “perfect” or “always calm.”
As the founder of Mamingo, Kate works with mothers to reconnect with themselves beyond the caregiving role. Inspired by the metaphor of flamingos losing and regaining their color through motherhood, Mamingo creates spaces for reflection, nervous system regulation, and sustainable self-care that goes far deeper than quick fixes.
Kate brings a rare blend of academic depth, real-life motherhood experience, and compassionate presence to her work. She believes that raising confident kids begins with emotionally supported adults—and that emotional skills are not “nice to have,” but essential life skills for both children and parents.
