Hi! My name is Noa Stisin and I am the founder of Rewriting Childhood. I work with parents and teachers helping them understand children’s behavior so they can have more grounding in their leadership and help give children healthier inner voices than many of us grew up with. I’m a Certified Parent Coach, but really, I’m a mum first. I have two little ones, Ella and Eitan, and I’m in it with you. I know what it feels like when your child has a meltdown and you don’t know what to do, or when you lose your patience and feel terrible afterward. What changed everything for me was learning about the nervous system. Once I understood that children don’t choose behavior, that it’s all a response to their nervous system and how they’re feeling, I couldn’t unsee it. And I couldn’t keep it to myself. I grew up moving between eight schools across different countries, and feeling abandoned by those who were supposed to love me the most every time I made a mistake. I understand what it feels like to be misunderstood as a child, to not feel seen. That’s why I do this work, to advocate for children and help adults break the patterns we inherited. My approach brings together nervous system science and attachment theory, but I make it simple and human. Because fancy terms don’t help when you’re overwhelmed on a Tuesday afternoon. This work isn’t about perfection. It’s about healing, one family, one nervous system at a time.
