Sarah Mechling is a behavior analyst and the founder of Tinkle & Toot (and mom of 4!), where she supports families navigating potty training and complex toileting challenges. She works with young children as well as older children with special needs or persistent potty struggles, providing individualized, practical guidance rooted in behavior science.
Sarah’s work focuses on helping children build body awareness, self-initiation, and confidence during one of the earliest milestones of independence. She equips parents with clear, step-by-step strategies that reduce overwhelm and create consistency at home, while supporting each child’s developmental and emotional needs.
In addition to helping families resolve withholding, accidents, and skill gaps, Sarah is committed to prevention - giving parents the tools to approach potty learning thoughtfully from the start. Her teaching style is direct, grounded, and actionable, helping parents move forward with clarity rather than confusion.
Through workshops, consultations, and educational resources, Sarah partners with families to create practical plans that support both independence and connection.
